Currently we are working on C.S.E. TV/CHOCOLATE STAR ENTERTAINMENT hosted by Comedian Super Fox airs on the CW in West Palm Beach, Since May. The show includes short films, music videos, intereviews and featured models.
We are also working on The Detective Story Saga, a series of short films to air on C.S.E. TV starring Mike Guzman.
GET TO MY PARTY EP - FEAT. GARY DAVIS / KID SUBLIME The second outing on the Amsterdam based Boogie Bash Records comes from new Australian producer, Inkswel who drops a heavy four-track 12" for all the nu-boogie heads out there (yes, it was only a matter of time before we added the 'nu' prefix to the likes of Dam-Funk, Onra and Krystal Klear's boogie-influenced sounds - and now Boogie Bash). "Get To My Party" features original boogie man (or should that be professor?) Gary Davis along with Benny Badge for some sleazoid electro-boogie-disco to get that party started. "Ambulance Dance" has a deeper vibe, with sirens and late night street ambience woven into a fuzzy electro-funk groove - all very atmospheric. Opening up the flipside is the smooth hed-nodder "She Likes Techno" feat. Reggie B and Kid Sublime - boogie-soul with nuff bump for hip wiggling. Sublime. Lastly we get boogie-disco rough cut "Hold Tight".
Electrik Surgery Digi-LP Baron Zen is back and he's got Tekblazer on his side for a dose of raw electro funk on Elektrik Surgery. From the title to the cover art, you would assume the good Baron has taken inspiration from the 80's LA electro rap pioneers like World Class Wreckin' Cru, Arabian Prince, and Egyptian Lover (duh), and when you hear the music it's pretty obvious. 808's and funky synths galore set the pace for rappers like San Jo's Megabusive and Tchaka Diallo who take the old school sound and flip it on it's side with a modern swag. Cuts like "Right Then Left" freak it with a Cybotron-esque flair, while "Untitled Love" injects some smooth boogie love into the mix (with Gary Davis no less!). 7 tracks of left field electro sickness.
What do you get when you lock Kenny Dope and Terry Hunter in the studio and throw away the keys? When all the production dust settles the door flies off the hinges and Mass Destruction emerges.
